When I mentioned the price of $2,500 for a NAUI ITC I was including books, Instructor Guides and other academic items you will need to complete the course.
I have been a NAUI Instructor for over 22 years and have made money every year. The amount of money made was directly proportional to the amount of effort I put into it.
A word of caution; not every agency accepts every insurance policy out there, and that can change from year to year as subtle word changes are made. You will need to do your research, every year, before making your decision. Sometimes saving $28 isn't worth it, sometimes it is, its your call.
A side note; in the current NAUI ITC curriculum there is a section dedicated to how to conduct the NAUI First Aid, CPR, AED, O2 Provider and Blood Borne Pathogens course. Since you are already certified in those it is not a big leap to following the instructor guide and other tools available to competently teach the course.
There are excellent points to every agency, you need to select the one that best suits your needs. Just as there are excellent instructors in every agency and some that could stand improvement.
