Hello,

Cold weather, so not so much diving - rather more reading of standards from my side.

When an instructor wants to cross-over his existing specialty (i.e. Wreck) from another agency (i.e. the leading one) does he still need to prove certain numbers of wreck dives or the existing instructor specialty card is enough to cross-over?

Regards,

Hi there... a copy of your existing specialty cards and / or a print out of your stats from your current agency is sufficient. Our training department speaks on a daily basis with their colleagues in other agencies checking this sort of thing.

Thanks for the clarification. It is as I expected.
So, it looks that sometimes it can be more convinient/easier/less expensive/etc. to make a specialty rating with one agency (method of a course with IT/CD) and cross-over instead of directly working with IT. Of course, for instructors working for more than one agency.

OK - I keep on reading standards, I suppose to have more questions soon.
