Which one would you recommend and, if possible, why.
They are almost the same price now.

Depends on where you will be diving. In general I think the Inons have a much better reputation for longevity (many of us are using Inons that are several years old). The powers are almost identical (if you use the diffuser on the S&S that gives it the same coverage as the Inon). That being said if you dive a lot infold water and use thick dry gloves then you might like the S&S knobs a lot more. The Inon knobs spin completely around; the S&S knobs have stops on them so you know more or less where you are. I have and use both interchangeably.
