I can't seem to find any reviews on these. Tempted by a set to make my rig lower profile/drag for use while on the DPV.

Any big disadvantages or known issues I'm not tracking? Mostly doing CFWA/Wrecks/some macro in lower vis.

Do you mean this one:

I own a pair - what would you like to know? It opens and closes, that’s pretty much been my review of it so far. :)

[Although that’s more than can be said of the Kraken telescoping arm, which is longer but somehow managed to lose a shim in one of the sections after a week’s use, resulting in the stick coming entirely apart into 2 pieces if you loosen and pull too far. So there is that]

Those are the ones. Have you compared them to a more typical set of arms in terms of handling, drag and positioning strobes? Have you used them with gloves?

I havent used them as strobe arms - i got it for shooting video in specific situations like shark feeding dives when i want a different perspective. In that position, there’s obviously minimal drag. Gun to head and based on schlepping a big housed camera system in currents, i think your strobes are going to be the big component of the drag and simply folding them closer to the housing should accomplish most of this.

One thing i like about this, compared to the Kraken ones, is that the unlocking mechanism is larger - so it *should* be a easy enough to handle with gloves (but as someone who is hasn’t put on a dry suit in over 2 decades, dont quote me on it).
