My limited understanding is that a group of snorkelers on the surface signaled to some divers under water. One of the snorkellers had free dived and not come back up. The divers recovered the unconscious snorkeler who was found held against a piece of coral on the bottom by the current. Was off of a Carnival cruise ship out of Houston.

Wow, how did a snorkeler get that far down without weights? And even with current, you'd have to be in a swim through to get trapped. I don't know the snorkeling sites but the shallowest site I've ever been on as a diver there was probably 30 ft. Sounds like there was a medical situation with the snorkeler.
