Have a persistent air leak from my BCD inflator hose (old model Zeagle Ranger). Do I need to replace the whole unit ?

As mentioned, remove the clamp and inspect to hose. If required you can replace just the hose for about $15-20.

Take the hose off the fitting and see if either has cracks in them.

Thank you all for your input. Good logical suggestions.

While you are waiting for your new corrugated hose, you should be able to add a zip tie just below that hose clamp and stop the leak. I have not had much luck with those hose clamps and, in your case, I suspect the hose damage was caused by that hose clamp. I use two zip ties in place of those original clamps. Your old hose should seal with the zip tie so it could serve as a backup.
