I just purchased a Dive Rite Transpac with Venture Wing but I don't like the inflator hose that it comes with. The inflator button is on the opposite side from the mouthpiece and it is difficult with my small hands to use it easily. Is it possible to replace the inflator hose with another one that has the inflator button beneath the mouthpiece ie. maybe an Aqualung one or another?

I had thought the same thing when I got one, but once in the water I found myself just using the heel of my hand to inflate instead of my fingers. Its basically the same motion. If you don't like that, you can flip the inflator over. If you don't like that, you can replace the inflator assembly in the hose you already have.

Agree with evad......it was diff than the one on my SQ but the more I used it, the more I got to like it even better. I have the long 27in hose and I can just hold it as I tool along and its long enough for a comfortable arm position plus just squeezing puts a puff in when needed and not that hard to let out air when I need to do that as well.

I just wish my Rec wing had a shoulder dump for major air blows.

My hand is small so I can't seem to get a good enough grip to do that effectively.

Yes, there are after-market inflators you can add. You might also be able to retrofit an inflator from another BCD.

Wow. That is small. You don't really have to grip it. Maybe you're trying to pick it up?
Try it this way: with it flat on your chest drop your hand onto it with the button in the butt of the palm and and your middle fingers just below the mouthpiece (not gripping it but cupping itas if your hand is in a "C" shape and pressed against your chest) then squeeze. I hope this makes some sense.

The corrugated hose is independent from the power inflator, so you can install the power inflator of your choice, even the Air II or similar integrated unit will fit the corrugated hose.

The LP hose for the power inflator is another story, you should have a standard fitting with your wing, so any replacement power inflator with a standard fitting should work fine with your current LP hose.
If you choose to install a Air II type (integrated power inflator and octo), you must get the LP hose with the fitting that fits the integrated unit that you choose.
