It's interesting that they mention that unlimited shore dive"S" (emphasis on the plural) are included. Infinity Bay is located towards the end of West Bay Beach. There is one main entry point near there that goes down to a sandy bottom. From there you go through a swim through that takes out out of the wall and from there you can go left or right. The Mandy's Eel Garden site is in that area. That general area is very nice and I do enjoy going there, but I would probably only want to do it once or twice, maybe three times. I'm not aware of any other *convenient* entry points in that area. So, while you may have unlimited shore diving, it's not a *huge* benefit. Also, personally, I would not suggest going in there for the first time without someone who is familiar with the location (unless you have a good dive site map beforehand). Yes, it's a very easy site but it's best if you've got some kind of reference beforehand.

Just my $0.02 (or about 1/3 of a Honduran Lempira)

Fully agree about shore diveS. Ventured out on our own second time around (first time we tagged along with another group that was guided) + a night dive. You are right on the money about the entry point.

Seems the unlimited part is if you pay for 15 tank dive package first, then the unlimited shore dives kick in.
For me, 10 will be fine, I can pay for the extra ones including a couple of night dives, its probably cheaper in the long run because I also want some pool or beach time, gotta tan and mingle too eh ;)
Either way, looks like a great dive vacation, so far ive heard nothing negative about the place. :)

Hows the night life their for singles? I guess the night dives will come in handy eh LOL

Nightlife for singles is better in West End.

No. Infinity is located down by the point at West Bay.

You can take the water taxi over before sundown and then take a regular taxi back. The walk is definitely a no no in the dark, but hardier hiking types will make the walk during daylight hours. Still recommended not to make the walk alone.

In any event, you need to decide what kind of vacation you are seeking. :^)

For myself, I can get in 4 or 5 dives a day in West End when I'm in full on dive mode. But generally, do 3 and take advantage of the ease of local dining and bar hopping in the evening. Last trip there was a French or perhaps Austrian guy selling fresh baked baguettes right across from the dive shop. He'd take my breakfast order, take off for about 15 minutes and then return to deliver to me the best breakfast sandwich this side of heaven. Cost me around $4. Geez, now my mouth is watering just thinking of it.

Okay and if wanting beach or snorkeling would hop a water taxi after the dives and go down to West Bay. But have also done decent post dive snorkels at Halfmoon.

I've been in West Bay in the evening and while the long quiet stretch of shore has its beauty, there wasn't much else going on.

Sucks that one of your fondest memories is overpaying someone likely working illegal taking money from locals and paying no taxes. For 4 dollars you could get 8 fresh Balleadas made by a local Honduran
