It does help with discussions if you complete your Profile. And it's even more fun when you load an Avatar (personal pic for each post) and a Profile pic. See UserCP to access these if you'd like to...? ;)

Are you in the Florida Keys now? Check our Florida forum...

If you haven't yet, click Forums above and start going thru the list - looking for those of interest to you, especially your local dive club. Always good to try a Search before starting a new thread, tho :search: and be careful about posting Threads & Replies without reading the Stickies at the tops of most forums. Click the link in my Sig below to PM me if I can help you around here..

Decided to join the SB to see if I can find any divers in Indiana. I was suppose to go to Dry Tortugus today for my first ocean dive, but it was cancelled due to rough seas. Anyone know where I can practice diving and work on my skills? I feel sorry for my diving buddy who I feel has to babysit me. I would like to give him a break so he could find someone who is more experienced to dive with so he could enjoy his dives. Any suggestions?

Welcome! Lots of Hoosier divers here. Be sure and check out the Great Lakes Wrecking Crew and Kentucky Piranha Patrol for local activity. Many of us dive locally quite a bit. Hope to dive with you sometime in the future, and good luck on your first ocean dive!

Welcome to the board! You just hit the jackpot for local divers :D

There are a lot of fields in Indiana, most covered by snow and in the summer by corn. Is plainfield a city, an area or a local name?

sdm

Plainfield is an actual town just west south west of Indianapolis. Link.

Moonlight... you live about 20 minutes from me! Not far at all.... in fact, I frequent Plainfield for Walmart and the Metropolis Mall quite frequently. ;)
