THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 36-year-old trader hailing from Karakulam, who was on a trip to Bangkok in Thailand, died on Saturday after he reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest under sea water while scuba diving. His body will be brought here on Wednesday.

Sudheeruddeen of Venjarammoodu is the deceased. He was the owner of Aluminium Fab at Venjarammoodu that distributed products of a prominent company that manufactures aluminium roofings and structures.

Police said that Sudheeruddeen was part of a 32-member contingent comprising dealers of the company across the state. The trip was sponsored by the parent company for the promotion of their business. "The death is reported to have occurred while he was scuba diving," said Venjarammodu sub-inspector Riyaz Raja.

The body will be brought here around 2pm on Wednesday and the funeral will be held at Karakulam Juma Ath at 4pm. The deceased leaves behind wife Shibina and children Mohammed Irfan and Sultana.tnn
