Don't hang out with those spearfishing guys!

Be noisy and let out lots of air to make a bunch of bubbles, they don't seem to like that. Stick yourself up against the rock. They can't get a run atcha.
Um, think positive
I'm going to go there tomorrow, I'm not going to let my fear keep me out of the water. If I let it I'm not going to last here very long. I've committed to a full year so dive I will.

Back in Japan I'd dive in a typhoon but boy no way at Canal Rock.

I hired a tank and will do the jetty tomorrow, they need tank back by 1 so not enough time to do Canal Rock, that'll be my mission for next Tuesday.

Simon,
I am glad you are getting situated! Are you diving solo?

Thanks. Yes, solo. Apparently there is a bunch of local divers here, I was told to hang out at the only LDS in the afternoons as the locals often come in to get tanks filled, that or join FaceBook.

I'm ok diving solo but having inside info would be priceless. Also given the very high number of sharks here it might be prudent to dive in a group.
