Years ago, I took a hammer to a 2lb weight and smashed it narrow enough to go In between the tanks. Then I put it inside the lower tank band, with the lower bolt thru it. It worked perfectly and I didn’t have to worry about it coming loose.

Halcyon or OMS V-weight pockets are anyway a bit pricy for what is. I only use a standard camband with the number of weights that I need. If the weights are placed in the middle of the twinset, I do not have any lateral trim issue and for travelling, I do not need to bring my weights

This is an idea I've been working on recently, for trimming doubles. Bracket that just holds a standard scuba weight. Works as either a tail weight or a head weight. Probably wouldn't scale up to 10lbs, but it's an idea.

made something similar. but the weights wore melted to the exact size and bolted. will try diving with it today.
