Anything with your DAN number would help. I have and dive with a DAN tag on every dive. This way, after my remains wind up on some beach or in a fishing net, they'll know who I am. I guess dog tags would be just as good. Daredevils can do whatever they want.

Having DAN insurance will not stop one from being injured, just like having auto insurance does not stop wrecks from happening.
DAN won't stop an accident from happening, but it'll sure help you pay for one.
I know that some peoples' health insurance won't cover dive accidents because it is considered an "extreme sport". I for sure would not risk that myself as I know that if I did get bent without DAN, there is no feasible way I'd be able to pay my chamber visit off anytime in the near future. I have enough college debt without adding hospital debt to it.
But maybe you disbelievers all have a more forgiving health insurance policy than me. If so, all the more power to ya, and good luck.

Yes, mine is attached to my BC and has been for about 3 years.

I used to have a pic, but it's gone now.

Middle of the back by a dive flag and a DNR order.

Folks, I can't make this stuff up, I'm not that clever.

Not just that, Ashley. Some medical insurance just does not cover some of us out of the US at all, and sometimes needed treatments are not going to be delivered without guaranteed payments - like DAN will give.

Did he used to work for Blackbeards? I think I've seen the DNR tattoo.

He's not a dive pro.

I'd be surprised if you met him and if you did, you'd likely remember the experience.
