The water actually warms up to a decent temp in July, August, and September.

What do you define "decent temp" as? :D

Tiggrr -
I dove with Splashdown in early March and plan on going back in October.
If you want a dive buddy, let me know. I'm "alone" and looking for a more regular dive buddy. I work in Ann Arbor (at Divers Inc) and we've started going to Spring Mill again. Maybe I'll see you out there - or at Portage where we dive almost every Sunday thru the summer.

My Mom and Dad live just north of milfor on milford road and i am there quite often. You ever try silver lake down near ann arbor :

We did a few dives there its a pretty nice state park. We also go to gilboa in OH a lot. Let me know when you want to dive. If my new wetsuit ever gets here i can get into the water.

Thanks its been since January now. Wish bare would get off there buts and get em made, its the new progressive stretch. Supposedly it is suppose to be at the shop on the 22nd and then shipped to me.

Whenever you want to go to gilboa let me know my wifes fam is near there so we are there quite often.

Silver lake is muckier than gilboa but a nice spot they have some stuff sunk there to. Nice thing is its a state park and one yearly state park sticker gets you access all year unlike other places that you pay evey time there.

Hey Tiggr.

Spring Mill Pond is convenient, wet! and free of boat traffic. However, there are lots of choices for mud holes in this part of Michigan. Make sure to check out Aquatic Adventures as Dave said. Also, Sea The World (Farmington Hills) is typically out at Spring Mill on Weds during the Summer.

An option for Lake Huron is with Rec & Tec / Gary Venet. If you go to his website you can sign up for his email list - he keeps everyone up to date on openings on his charters including when different stores, groups etc can't totally fill a charter. http://www.rectecdivecharters.com/

& of course, hook up with the GLWC members as much as possible. See my thread on White Star this weekend.
..... Union Lake isn't bad, ...
