:rofl:Well that is one rumor that I had not heard!!!!

I need to plan another trip down. I keep looking at all the pictures posted on the internet. I am amazed that there weren't more people missing.

I was wondering why you were heading for Houston!! Now I see the benefit. :) Plus, you clearly have the BEST people on the island handling things. I'm so thrilled that you're in good shape, with your house, boat, animals and the important people in your life.

Cozumel is truly a magical place, it will grow back because of the people and their love for that island and those beautiful reefs.
I wish I were there to help, but I'm realistic, I'd be more of a burden than a help. :)

I'm still worried about the condition of the reefs and the creatures that live/lived there.

Christi, I have a cash question. Either email me or call me in Cedar Park. Take Care, Sue B

First of all, let me say that I do not speak on Christi's behalf - I've only had the pleasure of meeting her once, as we recently took our first trip to Coz - by the way her operation and team were far and away the best we have ever had the pleasure to dive with!

With that said, I know what it is like to wonder whether your trip is on or off - Emily paid the island a visit shortly before our trip (I know Wilma is much worse, but our hotel plans, etc. were blown up as a result). It would seem to me though that given what Christi and friends/family have just been through, that folks could have a little bit of patience. She started the thread by indicating she will be contacting folks over the next couple of days, after getting some rest, etc., and will be doing it chronologically.

I can't imagine what it must be like to have to speak with folks whose vacation plans have been destroyed - but I hope everyone will remember the big picture when she contacts you. I'm not trying to start a war here, just a friendly reminder to give her a little time - I'm quite sure after our experience with her and her operation that she will do what she says she will.

Good luck to all of you who are re-planning your trips - those of us who have been through similar experiences feel your pain! Whever you end up will no doubt be much better than no trip at all!

And good luck to you and the crew, Christi - you've got quite a crowd out here that would like to help - just let us know how when things settle down!

Christi, I found the Cozumel relief site; Will take care of what we need to do there. Will catch up with you after the New Year for June 2006. Sue and Mike B

So good to hear that you and yours are OK.
I havn't been there to dive but when I do, it will be with you , just from listening to the words of people here at scubaboard and for the kindness that you've shown others
Glad that you can get some rest and sweet dreams to you
