Hey
Is anyone on here good at identifying?
I have a photo of a Sunstar. On the top right there is a species. I don't know what it is.
Maybe some kind of Nudibranch?

Can anyone help?

It was found in the North Sea. Near the Farnes.

They are not known to be up there, as far as I know but I never seen any nudis there.

No. But there are hundreds of Aeolid/Zephyrinid species.
Check out Genus Janolus, Flabellina, and Hermissenda to get started.

I don't have any N. Atlantic ID books, sorry.

Oh so are the ones on that website not nudibranches?

I wish I knew more =\...but don't think they will teach it on my course

That Scottish website shows tons of nudibranches around Scotland so I suspect that your nudi could be listed there. Now that you know it's a nudi, a better picture would help. Do you want to go back on the dive to get a close-up???
