For PADI, it's just having the AOW cert. But I like to see people have some good diving experience prior to class. Dry suit is STRONGLY recommended, I have had people in wet suits before, but they didn't enjoy the dives much.
I could be mistaken, but I recall hearing during our course that it is the only (or one of the few) courses for which you must be 18 or older.
 
Well from the rain we had last night and the rain/snow today the ice in the area is lookin thin about a 1" or less. We have major flooding going on so all the water is going right into the lakes.
 
Is an ice diving still available?
 
Im not sure If I will dive but mabe help out on the surface. I just got my new CLX450 and I realy dont want to do a Ice dive in a brand new suit. I still have to get my boyance down pat. too much to do with a class involved.
