I talked to Tina yesterday. There's a chance she'll open for ice diving the first weekend of March. Assuming there's ice still.

You have to show an ice diver card or be part of a class to get in.

So Duane, should I skip the nitrox class and go straight into ice diving? :-)

What are the Prereq's for an Ice Diving class?

For PADI, it's just having the AOW cert. But I like to see people have some good diving experience prior to class. Dry suit is STRONGLY recommended, I have had people in wet suits before, but they didn't enjoy the dives much.

PPO2, Thanks I'll probably wait until next year. I dive a drysuit and have a few dives (70'ish) but, havn't had the chance to take AOW (I've had the book for a year just didn't schedule the class). This may sound strange but, are spectators allowed just to see what goes on?

you have to bring chili. :D Depending on the site, you might have to pay an entry fee.

Thanks, Do_it_Easy. I guessed Tina wouldn't let me in for free.

Chilli with Lots of Beans and Jalapenos??? In a drysuit...Hmmmm

I will be there openning weekend on the 3rd. hope to see you all out there. Tony-Duane

If there is no ice that is. The way our weather is, there may still be ice on the quarry. If so, more ice diving!!!! If we can talk Tina into opening it up again for us.
