Can anyone tell me if these would be useful for scuba use (pony bottles) or if they are just junk?

I was on the Luxfer website but did not find any info on them.

Thanks,

I thought 25XX alloy was not good for scuba tanks?

just a thought, can't remember...

I am assuming these are SCBA units. I have toyed with this idea. SCBA to scuba addapror would be required.

You could probably find an scba to O2 addaptor and use them as Oxyen tanks on dry land.

Yup,

The company I work for decided to do away with the SCBA stuff on site so they didn't have to pay for training and upkeep. I got a couple of the bottles, but really not sure what to do with them...paintball maybe. Or scuba if I can find any real info on them. Drew a blank on the Luxfercylinders site. None of the codes stamped matched stuff on thier site.

How can you tell its 25XX?

I'm sorry, not 25XX I think those are 6061, which is cool

just a guess, found stuff similar on the web.

and luxfer makes all of those al scba tanks out of 6061 now.

Is there a way to know exactly which tank it is on the Luxfer site based on the numbers that were stamped on the tank that I posted above?
