I want to dip my feet in the ocean

I just want to dip my feet in the ocean before winter closes in. Anybody up for a trip to Panama City area (dodgning storms and such) in the near future? I kind of thought about spending the night at Vortex Springs and doing a night dive with the white eels, then cruising on down and doing a shore dive or two off of the Panama City beach.

No agenda, no big expense. If we go in my motorhome, we would share all expenses.

I was suppose to be at Mexico Beach and PC beach right now but of course TRUE to my screen name!!! These hurricanes caused too much surf, turbidity, and bad weather and the boat cancelled the trip!!

110 dives and still not one boat dive in the ocean!!:broken_he:furious:
I am never going to get a boat dive so I guess I will just learn to cave dive!!!
To hell with it!!(I am just joking around) but not about cave diving!!

I was going to drive to Panama City Labor Day weekend. But of course a big hurricane messed things up. Now I am out of vacation time at work.

If someone is really desperate to get to the ocean, one can fly on SouthWest airlines pretty cheaply. $70 each way from Kentucky to Virginia, North Carolina, and Alabama. ~140 each way to Florida.

I am "mostly retired," so I can go with little notice. We should check to see how Vortex Spring did with Jeanne, I know they took a big hit from earier ones.

Don't forget to stop by Billy's Oyster Bar and give Scotty some business. Also, you guys know that Hydrospace has moved back over near their old location 2 (near Capt. Anderson's). Also, A tornado from one of the Hurricanes went thru the Capt. Anderson's area and whipped the holy snought out of it.

If you guys use Gomez at PC Dive Center say howdy to him for me and pick me up some Columbia Sport wear.

But I still highly recommend Scotty out of Hydrospace.
