I went cold turkey and used the hell out of lifesavers drops for about 3 days. After that it was not so bad. That was in june of 01. I work around alot of smokers and I admit there are some days that I think about just one. Then there are the days that for some reason they smell like an open cesspool to me and I think "How stupid it would be to start up again." Same way with booze. One won't hurt but problem is I breakout when I drink. Not in hives but in stupid. Tapering off does not work in my experience and you have to want to do it. If not you'll never quit.
