Actually, if you're a *good* buddy, you should already know that your buddy is OOA, and should be donating the reg to them before they grab it from you.

If you aren't a *good* buddy, the OOA diver is going to go for the reg in your mouth whether its yellow, red, blue, or black. They know where your mouth is, no need for colors too.

I tried the 5 footer... it pulled on my face (the reg). You may want to try a 6 footer before you buy. Or better yet.. a 7?

The length depends on a lot of factors-environment, body size, etc. I tried the 5 foot also, and it was too short for me. I use a cannister light, so the 7 foot was perfect. YMMV.

I'm sure Roakey can help you decide on length when you get together.
