Howdy All-
Ive been a Maryland AOW diver since 1989.
I started diving after my father passed away....I didnt want to see his gear disappear. I grew up with him actively diving, but he got away from it before I was old enough to get involved.
Other than his Mark 5 regs from 1970 and a Darell Allen light, Ive retired most all of his other gear. (Including his knife which took up the whole length of my calf.)
I wreck dive off MD and DE, and dive in the 5 or so quarries within a reasonable drive, oyster dive on occasion, and spent a lot of time cleaning boats when I started out.
Ive had trips to Florida, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. I have a live-a-board trip to the Bahamas scheduled for this summer.
Ive found Scubaboard to be a great wealth of info. Its great to see such a strong dive community out there with such a passion for the sport.
When Im not underwater, Im on it pursing my other escape...whitewater kayaking.
Happy downtime,
Chummer
