I'm a Fish!
Thought I knew what the heck I was doing :shakehead I need some advice. The boys and I are trying to get the plastic Easter Eggs to sink, They won't:11: I ran down stairs and got lead weights NOT, Dirt NOT , rock NOT.
Any advice would be so helpful I need to get these things done by Sat. night.

Ditch the plastic eggs and use golf balls instead. Use a sharpie to decorate them if you want. You can find used golf balls by the bag at most golf shops pretty cheap.

Other than that....I'm out of ideas. Good luck.

That would be great idea, But I have to put money in them.

Simple...duct tape!

Really though, don't know what would help. Filling them with water and something to give a little bit more weight would probably make them negative, but it'd mean wet money....

What kind of money? What about coins, like Susan B. Anthony dollars? Or use regular hardboiled eggs, and then have the "finders" draw a # for a envelope with $ in it? I know the regular sort sink in salt water, but the dyes aren't stable.

I am using coins but I have filled the eggs all the way and they still won't sink. Is there some sort of liquid I could use to put in one side of the egg to make it sink.
I thought of sealing the eggs with super glue so that the paper money would stay dry? I don't know.... HELP HELP PLEASE HELP.......
all those people and all those eggs floating not much hunting going on, I have to get them to sink.

maybe fill one side of the egg with clay, like the modeling type? Not sure if it'd work.....It would make them heavier.

Hey Hey that might work, Do you think home depot would have clay, all we have here is K-Mart and they never have anything. The Wal-Mart is about an 1 1/2 hrs from me.

Plaster?

you might get modeling clay at a craft store

They might, I'd call first.

Never thought I'd be trying to apply Archimedes principal to a plastic egg....
