Frameless masks seem to do a good job of maximizing FOV by moving the lense close to your face. Price range from $30 to $130 with the biggest associated difference being the name. You might want to borrow one and try it before you buy.
 
Visulator is the best! I love it but its not for everyone!

you're right I hate mine! :D (which is why I use Sea Vision masks now)

(not to mention the big a$$ Ocean Master snorkel I got when I bought it...)

The Mares X-visions are pretty nice, and low mass!

But....reading your response to why...I just feel around for everything....no need to see...but that's just my 'pinion!

I wear a Cressi BigEyes a lot. The teardrop lenses sit close to my cheeks so it's relatively low-volume. (But for really low volume, check out their Minima--not much of a view, but easy to carry as a spare mask.)
