I have been using a bibbed 5mm hood with my drysuit, but after the constant feeling like it is chocking me (when it is tucked under the collar) I have decided to get a bibless hood. I am looking for a 5-7 mm and would like it to be the higher stretch for comfort. I know the more stretch the less insulation, but I mostly dive in temps no lower than 45 deg and was fine with a 5mm for 30-45 minutes. I'm not a brand whore but do like the best for the money.

What do you recommend?

You can just cut the bib off current hood, too! I did that when I wanted a bibless hood and the shop was out. Cut just below the seam where the bib was sewn on. I used the shears I dive with. Worked well.
