I'm looking for a job in the SCUBA industry. Pretty much anything for now.

I was a job recruiter (headhunter) for quite sometime and one of the first things you learn is that about 80% of all jobs come from what they call the "hidden job market". Basically knowing someone. So then, does anyone know of a good way to get into the SCUBA industry. Preferrably in Orange County?

Thanks... keep yer ears open for me :D

Does "yard guy for a scuba diver" count? Just joking, good luck with the hunt. I was just looking at my yard, noting all the things I need to do this spring vacation, and considering hiring a yard care specialist so I could go diving.

Your best option is to go to the shops in your area and see if they need help.

I know diversdiscount.com in Rancho Santa Margarita hired a guy to work in the back shop area. I also know there Service tech is moving to Sacramento in April so they will be looking for a tech.

Personnally i dont think any LDS is hiring and your best bet is diversdiscount based on its shops size and volume of internet sales. This combined with the lack of customer service when i walk in there leads me to beleive they need people! I literally have to wait 10 or 15 min before i have to walk into there "employee only" areas to get some help.

there not that close to HB though

hope thats helps

Are there any marine parks or aquariums around? They hire scuba divers.
