I need a dive buddy for a July 1 trip to Pt. Lobos!

Hello, all! I have booked a reservation for Pt. Lobos on July 1st (please note: this is a Friday), and I think my dive buddy is gonna cancel on me. I'm looking for a "back-up buddy!" Anyone interested? I am a 39-year-old married female AOW diver (read: only looking for platonic fun) with about 24 dives (only three so far in cold water). I'd love to go with someone who's been there before, and who won't mind diving with a relative rookie. Although my dive experience may be a bit limited to date, I'm completely obsessed! My husband doesn't like cold water diving, so I'm trying to meet new people for short trips to Monterey/Carmel. I'm fun, adventurous, extroverted, and love to party and have crazy adventures. Well I might just be the one you're looking for, or I am looking for. I am a happily married male, 22 dives, 2 cold water (two weeks ago, Monterey). Just bought two tanks and ready for diving point lobos.

You "must" have a dive buddy to dive in Pt Lobos. Only 15 buddy teams (2 per team) are allowed to dive there per day. Both are required to be present to register with the Rangers before they dive. http://pt-lobos.parks.state.ca.us

Like divenut said, Andy . . . it's a buddy thang! Anyway, I'm glad to see some interest! I will make my buddy confirm or cancel this week (before my dive trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico . . . hurray!), and get back to you guys! Maybe we should do a group thing! Anyone else interested? I'd volunteer to make another reservation, if necessary. Cheers!

hey folks the group thing sounds real cool, that is the best way to meet several new dive buddies, i also would make more reservations if need be, great idea!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to throw it out there...

I am 32 married, but my wife will not dive. I have 24 dives all but 4 in cold water/monterey. Let me know if/when you want to go out to dive. I have a small group of friends who are almost always ready to dive, but you can't have too many buddies.
