So I just moved here to Austin TX to help the aging parents. That is the only justification I have for leaving Chicago. Although, the winters won't be missed however, I now have a desire to do a winter dive. What the hell is wrong with me? Anyway I will be back in Chicago in the near future and I hear there are some great wrecks to dive off the IL side of Lake Michigan. I'm sure there are more but can you help me out with a couple of desitnations? I promise I invite you for a dive and a beer afterwards:)

And here I thought you were referring to USC's Wrigley Institute for Environment Studies' marine science center here on Catalina Island!

Used to love that other Wrigley- back in the era when my great-uncle George Halas' Bears played there as well as the Cubs.

Good luck in your search for new buddies and friends.

This is a thread title that sure caught my eye.
I miss Wrigley too.

PM me when you get here. I'll work on getting us a charter in either Chicago or Milwaukee.

As a die hard White Sox fan the only thing I can say is Wrigley is only good for checking out the Woman and Yuppies and laughing at the Cubbies.

I'm not a baseball fan. Couldn't care less about the Sox or Cubs. But there is something about Wrigley Field. It's such a landmark. Like the Chicago Theater. How can you help but feel hometown pride, when you see that ballpark. Somehow Cellular Field doesn't evoke the same feelings.

Now no laughing, but I've recently moved to chicago from RI so now i find myself rooting for the two teams that haven't won a world series in a very very very long time. Grew up a red sox fan, (die hard)(stupid buckner), but now find myself attending games at historical wrigley field, and rooting for the underdog once again.. Sooo close last year, both teams five outs from the world series. could this be the year. chicago is great, just did some dives off the straits of mackinaw, good time had by all. Miss the ocean, but chicago is at the tops of the list for fun places to live

I'd love to see either the Red Sox or the Cubs make it this year.

But, I have to tell you..living in another state makes me root for all Chicago teams. Including the White Sox.
I know this may be hard to comprehend. I have found I am now a 'Chicago fan.'.more then ever.
