I used #18 braided mason line I bought at Lowe's home improvement store. I can't get the larger line in my area. I would have to order it on line.

It was a short piece of 3/16 wall, 3 inch dia tube x 4 inches long left over from a project at work.
It was tossed in the garbage as too small for anything usefull.
I solvent cemented the end in it with methylene chloride and the rest is history.
