A bit of duck tape or cinch your cam band really tight, it'll be fine. Honest.

Personally, I prefer crazy glue but to each his (her) own.

But seriously, I was in a Florida City dive shop in the late '80s and was in the front waiting for some counter help, when a guy brought in his AL80 for a fill.

The op connected the tank, started filling it, and then suddenly, I heard a loud snap (like a large tree branch or something broke), and then a hissing sound. Turns out the AL80 got up to about 1100 psi when a helical crack, about 2 inches in length, happened right in the fillet of the valve neck. It didn't go boom but sure emptied that room fast. Good thing the op was filling the tank slowly.
