Mine (used) was the same. Also showed signs of a little more oxidation (verdigris and white powdery deposits) that I did not expect to see in a well cared for second stage.

Looking forward to more pix.
 
I don’t “collect” things (accumulate yes, collect no) so if it were pristine new like I would try to put it into the hands of a collector, it won’t perform any better than one dented and chrome les.
Ditto, I don't collect (only keep a minimum of backup gear). I would either dive it or sell it to a collector, hopefully one that displays them to the public at some point. The worst fate for this would be to dissapear in a box for the next decade and not be used nor seen.
 
Noticed a little ding in the case.
