When I saw some of the names of jellies normally associated with the Indo-Pacific brought up here, I checked online to make sure before posting about it. I was very surprised by what I read. Apparently a number of venomous jellies, some quite potent, have been making their way to the Caribbean region. I have not come across any reports in the Curacao region, but it appears to be just a matter of time, if they are not there already. Do some reading and you might get worried--I read some pretty scary stuff about the dramatic change in that region over the past 20 years. There are now some really nasty jellies in great abundance that were never seen before.

I am mystified about one stinging through a wet suit, though. I never would have expected that.
