Why not get one of those lock-blade knives that uses a replaceable utility razor blade?
I'm sure utility blades are somewhat universal.

I don't carry a knife when traveling to & from places like Coz, Bonaire, Curacao, etc.
Never really had a need for one...
I carry one when diving locally, but hardly ever use it.
As to foreign Customs Officers, I had one in Managua demand that I "open" my first stage, until one of his cohorts clued him in...LOL
 
You never know when you may "run into" mono line or a net. Not very likely in some places, perhaps more so in others.
 
I use my knife frequently. I never dive without it.
