...because I have an ROV.
I am searching for wrecks in any part of the world, at any depth up to 1800m (6000ft). I work for a large private vessel- we are NOT treasure hunters, we are interested only in taking HD video and still photos, which we would be willing to share with anyone who can help us locate an interesting site.
In fact, if you have any information through your personal research or local knowledge that could potentially lead to discovery of a previously unseen wreck, we will fly you to the vessel to act as an advisor for the duration of the our dive. Operation of a system like ours normally costs $50,000 per day, so I think this is a rare opportunity for an amateur enthusiast with knowledge to share. Our vessel's owner gets to see something new, you finally get a look at that wreck that has filled your imagination for so long...
At the moment, we are in the Pacific. I am especially interested in locating and diving the Musashi in the Sibuyan Sea, but would love to hear of any possibilities between French Polynesia and Indonesia. We carry out regular circumnavigations, so no part of the world off limits in the longer term.
If you have any advice, contacts, comments, or specific information to share, please email me at: cbwbirch@hotmail.com so that we can discuss it in privacy.
Good Hunting,
Christian
