Theres a Japanese destroyer or light cruiser on ?Neoch atoll 10 km south of truk lagoon that hit the barrier reef, go stranded, bombed and then slide off down the wall. As far as I can tell it has yet to be found (prob >100 metres depth).
The battle of leyte gulf in the southern Philippines was the largest navel battle of all time. Japanese and American forces lost 7 aircraft and escort carriers, 3 battleships, 8 cruisers and 15 destroyers. Plenty of targets to search for over a very large area. However exact locations are probably not known so bring your sonar, magnetometer and plan to spend a lot of time doing grids. From what I understand most of these lie outside diveable depths while some may be at the limit of tech diving but are in areas of strong current.
Theres numerous other WW2 wreaks around Asia that havent been found. A bit of research should turn up many more targets.
Cheers,
Rohan.
