Anyone tried the hydrofoil to the Similans?

Supposedly they ride a lot smoother than the cats, so you get the best of both worlds. And you can pretend you're in a James Bond movie.

Price doesn't seem terribly out of line.

Hi Vance,

The hydrofoils are perfectly ok, and yes, a lot smoother than a speedboat. But: just like with a speedboat, onze you reach the Similans you normally chance boats and dive from a bigger diveboat. With a cat you normally dive from the cat itself.

But: they are perfectly ok, and just a little bit more expensive than alternatives.

Regards,
Steven

Could you let us know what kind of prices we are talking about and what the time difference is between the cat and the foil (to the Sim's)?

Any website you have with details would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks!
