My brother and I went out to the Hyde & Markham yesterday with Aquatic Safaris. Temperatures are running around 65 F on average. Viz was only fair compared to when I've been there before but I'm told it was pretty good for this time of year. Seas were calm for our diving but were starting to pick for our ride back. Good diving on the whole with tons of schooling fish on the wrecks but no sand tigers yet. The guys with AS did a great job as always.

I did this same dive with Aquatic last Saturday with the same conditions, but after 4 blown out dates in a row I thought it was a great day.
Did you see any Nudibranch's on the Hyde? There was 1 up on the deck, but they were all over the sand around the bow.

Yeah, I thought there were tons of nudis on the sand and I think a few on the structure.

That's great to here! Aquatic Safaris is a great shop/charter operation. I've had several blown out dives with them over the last years, but that's usually in early hurricane season, in august/september. They are a very popular dive op, and getting reservations are tough sometimes...but now with two boats, they are somewhat easier to book I hear.

All the best,
Geoff

Their charters do seem to fill up far in advance, I agree. I'll hopefully get to dive with them a few more times this season - it's the five hour drive that kills me.
:D
