Looks like Ill be diving the afternoon dive July 31 with Discovery Diving, which would you prefer to dive The Hutton or The Indra. Just with OW cert.I dove the Brass Spike off Va. beach last Sat. 7-10 with pretty heavy current and 80 ft depth. Was a little much for my wife (who is also newly certified ). This was our 1st boat dive, actually it was our 1st dive period. She didnt mind the depth ,but the vis was less than 10 ft, and she wants to see more.We got into diving after a trip to Cozemel and did a Discover Diving trip,I guess that is hard to measure up to, and she knows we need exp, & this is where we live.

I dove the INDRA again this weekend if I had a choice mine would be the Hutton but better choice would be the new wreck USCG SPAR lots of marine life all ready and quit a few sandtiger sharks

I've only been on the Indra (4 times) and its usually not a problem. Vis is very low sometimes, but its a very easy wreck and current is usually nothing terrible.

Totally Indra...the thing is intact and you can explore all sorts of neat passages and holes in it. If I remember correctly, the Hutton is nothing more than a rubble field. If you do the Indra, ask them about some sort of reef/ledge thingy if aquatic life is your thing. I thought I remembered one a few degrees to port off the bow, but I am sure the outfit you are diving with will know more about it than I will..

There is a hardbottom patch just off the bow/center on the port side (errr southern side) that I stumbled on to... saw some bright orange tube anemones, but the current wasn't behaving so I went back up to the deck. Keep in mind its also ~80' at the sand there.

Thanks for all the good info. It looks like we will try to line up the Indra, the aquatic life will definitly appeal to my wife (and me as well ).
