I'm well south of the storm and am hoping all the forecasts are correct that that stationary front does lift out and pull Milton north.
Still, put up shutters on the west side, gassed up the car, etc...
Rum. Rum. Rum

Well the eye came ashore not far from my home and spent over an hour in the eye.

I woke up a few minutes ago thinking "Is it morning already." My lights were on again. I remember when a tropical storm would knock them out for days. I can't believe I am saying this, thumbs up to FPL the grid hardening worked.

Lots of natural debris in my neighborhood but power’s still on and no real damage.

Totally going to race over to the Atlantic side and fall off a boat this weekend.

Nice over here. Hoping to get a beach dive in on Sunday, it should be settled down by then.

Storm was pretty dry and the wind was just enough to enjoy being outside last night relaxing in a chair.

Yesterday was a new experience for me. I've been here since 2002 and experienced 3 eyes and multiple hurricanes nearby. I'm on the east coast in Martin County. We had tornados touching down all around us and we had so many tornado warnings that I lost count. Our power started cutting off and coming back on, starting around 3pm. We didn't have any damage.

I'm in Orlando. Just a bunch of branches and 2 medium thick logs broke off. Max winds were 74mph as the eye passed, but we got 12 inches of rain. I pulled an all nighter and stayed up, but we never lost Duke Energy Power or Spectrum internet. The hurricane Helene 2 weeks ago actually helped drop alot of dead wood branches out of the trees so this cleanup is much easier. People are trying to 'Return' the cases of water they hoarded back to the store,,,drink up.

Nice to read all made it through OK.

More people killed in Beirut today than by Hurricane Milton.

All lives have equal value. ☹️

My townhome in Tampa lost power late last night and it was restored this morning. Props to TECO and all of the out-of-town linemen that got the grid back up and running quickly - hopefully the remainder of Tampa won't be far behind.
