Not looking so good for Aruba, Bonaire and Curaco.

Basically there is a high pressure system in the Carribean being held there by the remanents of Frances keeping Ivan on a southerly track not typically seen. The ABC islands are not in the hurricane belt, so this could be a rough one.

Let's keep our fingers crossed, but at this point it looks like Bonaire will at least get tropical storm force winds.

Most up-to-date info about conditions on-island can probably be found on bonairetalk.com

Just to let you all know that Bonaire faired very well. A few resorts had some damage done to docks/piers, and that was it. Everyone is still operating and most important NO DAMAGE TO THE REEFS!

aruba is fine. still some localized standing water. The Antilla has collapsed in a few places creating new swim throughs. Also a mast that used to extend to the surface has collapsed, leaving just one mast now. The vis was poor this week 30-40 feet.. did have a day of 50-60 feet vis. way below normal vis. All of the reefs are fine.
