I see prices falling for live-aboards and diving in general and worry about the long term implications...

Before you know it cheap and nasty becomes the undeserved reputation for us all here in Thailand as a few are desperate to fill their boats.

Exactly.

Another thing that adds to the problems here in Phuket is that we have just way-way too many dive operators. Imo is the scuba market here "super-saturated". With way too many shops and boats and fewer than ever customers everybody will lose in the end.

Glad to hear you guys are having good business. Now if only you could have some of our weather (hot and sunny) and we some of your customers....
