My wife & i are headed to Islamorada next week to stay at the Postcard Inn at Holiday Isle and dive with Islamorada Dive Center. Any reports on how the conditions have been recently? Water temp., viz, etc. She's a little worried because she got sea sick when the water was rough last time.

Please don't shoot the messenger, but in a word, awful. A persistent high pressure system is bringing 25 knot winds and 6 ft seas and no vis. Better conditions forecast for Thurs. Sorry.

We r not gonna b down there for 6 more days and not diving till the day after so fingers crossed a miracle happens in the next 7 days. Lol.

Based on the last 24 hours of data from the tower, it appears that the wind is settling down...I hope so we have about a week and a half and we will be there too. :)

I have a couple of friends coming into town next weekend; being rather new divers I suggested that they do a shallow reef dive in Key Largo. Should I advise them to can the idea? Looks like the conditions might be crap across the board; trying to think of backup options.

Interested in this as well. I am coming down and looking to dive Thursday and Friday of this weekend in Key Largo. Conditions forecast says 7-11 foot swells. Should I even lug my equipment down? Do boats still go out?
