I had to put my bulldog down last year. I got the guy with my house. The couple were going through a divorce and where they were going, he could not be kept so I took him. A year later he became ill and we found he had cancer, a whole bunch of it. The vet said we could try a few things but at best would give him another 6 months, so we put him down. If the possibilities were more like a year or two, then maybe but sometimes nature just need to take its course. I cried like hell when I did it but thought it was the best for him. He was 10 years old and from I understand, that is their expected lifetime (approx.) It is very hard to make those kind of decisions.
