FYI,
I usually buy some really, really stiff weightbelt webbing from one of my LDS's. It is so stiff that I have a hard time putting the metal triglides and D-rings on. I've been looking for a way to make it a little softer and tried one that seems to work to some degree.
I took some new webbing (only about 3' of it) and boiled it in a big pot on the stove for about 10 min then removed it. The webbing had become flexable enough that I could use it with ease. I think the boiling removed some of the resin from the webbing because the water was a tea-ish color when I pored it down the drain and the webbing was not a "shinny" anymore.

Just a tip.

I have the same issue. Did you try a slow simmer for 5 minutes? How about trying that and let us know if that works better.

I never thought of boiling webbing . . . The solution I found was to buy Halcyon webbing, which although it is festooned with obnoxious blue H's, is thinner and more flexible than the stiff stuff, and very easy to adjust through triglides. I like it a lot, even though I wear in inside out.

I bought the stuff Reef SCUBA sells; no Hs, multiple colors and no boiling required.

Same here.

My harness is rigged with yellow Reef SCUBA stuff. Why yellow? So I can write (with a sharpie) on the webbing to mark my setup for various exposure suits.

I don't have any problem with the H's in fact--I think they spice it up. ;)
And they're good for aligning it up.

For my record, what is their web address?
