How to promote nitrox and mixed gas diving ?

At least for DSAT, if you want to be a trimix mixer, you'll need to be a trimix diver. Same with nitrox.

Are you sure?

If so, this is a recent requirement. As of 2006, I've been a DSAT-certified Trimix Gas Blender but I'm still not certified to dive trimix.

Nitrox is not more expensive because it allows for longer bottom times, therefore the cost per diving hour is less.

Oh come now. Nitrox costs more than air.

Personally, I often use nitrox to get me out of the water faster.
