Some of the dry suits I have looked at have neoprene collars or the option of getting a neoprene collar-to either replace or put on top of a latex collar. I like the idea of a neoprene collar(more durable and should fit tight enough since I have a big neck) and latex wrist seals, since I have skinny wrists. If I do just get a latex collar, will my neck area get cold?? Is there still an issue of getting a better seal in a latex vs. neoprene collar given that they both fit well??

Thanks Again
Mike

This board rocks!!!!!!!

Hey Buff, I've had both latex and neoprene seals. I've opted for neoprene seals for their durability and warmth.

Good fitting neoprene seals will keep you dry and warm, but are more finicky than latex seals. However, it has to be pretty darn cold for you to notice the cold with latex seals. Generally, the neck part of your hood will insulate your neck, and your gloves will insulate your wrists.

I like the durability of neoprene seals even though they don't seal quite as nice as good latex seals.
