I am heading off to the Coral Sea in a week, for 4 days on a liveaboard, where I understand the temps will be 24-5C. I am wondering if there is any point taking my 5mm wetsuit... I have been quite comfortable in it at 21C in Sydney, but am wondering whether the extra 3 or 4C might make it too heavy? Thoughts?

It depends on you - but if I was doing 4 days of repetitive diving - I think I would definitely want a 5mil

Better a little too warm then too cold..

On your 4th or 5th dive of the day, you will appreciate the thickness and resulting warmth. You will also understand why people on liveaboards in tropical waters wear drysuits.
