First resort dive was in my 30's, can't remember exactly.
Certified this year at 51, although my wife claims I've been certifiable since before we met...go figure.
 
I was 13, did it on my own with my twin bro, we paid for with paper route $ back in '79. We dove with beaver tail wetsuits, and At pac BCs (w/ lead shots) were just introduced.
 
14 now 42. Horse collar BC, no power inflate, no octopus steel 72.
 
I did my OW at the tender age of 52, like the other late bloomers I wish I'd started 30 years earlier but better late than never.
 
I started OW class on my 49th birthday ... that was nine years and 2,500 dives ago. I figure I got a few thousand more dives left in me ... :D

I wanted to scuba since I was 7 years old. I finally got certified when I got out of the air force at 23 years old. That was......well it was awhile ago.
