After looking two years ago at the Ferox vessel, the location, the sea life and the overall experience, I instantly identified Malpelo is probably the perfect type of LOB for my tastes.
I’m registered and committed for the January 2027 trip although I did send a note to Andrés that if he needs to fill a spot in 2026 to keep me in mind.
As things stand right now, I’m flying from Florida to Calí on 18 January 27, taking a slack day on 19 January 27 to exercise, double check equipment and take in some sights then joining the rest of the manifest on 20 January 27.
Looking forward to some silly icebreaker activities on the bus ride and the transit from Buenaventura to Malpelo.
I’m debating whether to stay on in Colombia a few more days for a family visit and to check on my wife’s farm. I’m kinda leery about pricey dive gear moving through airports any more than necessary.
